Larry Dale Geary Jr., age 34, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (April 17, 2026) at his residence.
He was born on July 13, 1991, in Owensboro, KY, the son of Larry Dale Geary Sr. and Mary Veteto Kiper.

Dale found his greatest joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life – whether that was hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, or spending time boating and walking through the woods. Above all, his heart belonged to his children. He had a big heart and was always ready to help others, never missing a chance to tell people he loved them before parting. His faith was very important to him, and he was ordained as a deacon at Eveleigh Church. He was blessed to baptize two of his children and to see all of them come to know Jesus before he passed. The last thing he told his pastor was “I’m just walking in peace.”

He is survived by his wife, Tia Geary of Leitchfield; children, Bently Geary, Hunter Reynolds, Emalynn Geary and Madilynn Geary; mother, Mary Kiper (Jay) of Leitchfield; father, Larry Geary Sr. (Kim) of Island, KY; three step-sisters, Tora Rivera, Danielle Lee, and Megan Mattingly (Josh); mother and father-in-law, Kellie and Marty Dennis of Leitchfield; two sister-in-laws, Tori Miller (Stephen) of Leitchfield and Tamra Duvall (Tommy) of Clarkson; maternal grandparents; Vernon and Pauline Veteto. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, paternal step-grandparents and maternal
step-grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (April 23, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Tommy Pendergest will be officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
