Mary Patricia “Patsy” Scott, age 83, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (April 28, 2026) at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born on April 1, 1943, in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Earl and Virginia Stevenson Kerr.
Patsy was a home maker who enjoyed embroidery, various crafts, reading, and canning. She also enjoyed watching television. Patsy had a sweet spirit and loved the Lord. She married her husband, Hobert Scott on January 5, 1962 and together they raised a family and made a home for their children, whom she loved dearly.
Patsy was a member of New Hope Apostolic Church in Leitchfield.
She is survived by her children, Richard Lee Scott, and Cindy Snyder (Glenn); three grandchildren, Heather Embry, Lance Dodson, and Page Sims; six great-grandchildren; five brothers, Sammy Kerr, Tom Kerr, Ronald Kerr, Leroy Kerr and Larry Kerr; two sisters, Donna London, and Nancy Newton; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Scott, a sister, Rita Gail Kerr, and a brother, Maurice Wayne Kerr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, (May 6, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Devon Fulkerson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Landis Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
