
An elderly woman has been killed in a vehicle vs. horse drawn buggy accident in Hart County.
The accident happened on Monday morning at approximately 8:25 in the 1600 block of South Dixie Avenue, southeast of Munfordville.
The Kentucky State Police investigation showed that a horse and carriage, being operated by Melvin Miller, of Horse Cave, was traveling north when a 2025 Ford F-250 truck, being driven by 38-year-old John McBride, of Munfordville, crashed into the rear of the carriage.
A passenger in the carriage, 81-year-old Sara Miller, of Horse Cave, was transported to The Medical Center at Caverna where she was pronounced deceased, according to state police.
Melvin Miller was airlifted to University of Louisville.
The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by KSP Det. Bo Hubbard.
