The Muhlenberg County Health Department has announced two people in that county have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Health officials announced the positive tests in a Facebook post on the agency’s website:

We have 2 confirmed positive cases in Muhlenberg County. We know that many people have questions regarding these positive cases, and we understand that. If you have not been contacted as a part of our case investigation, you are at low risk of being exposed to these positive cases.

It appears the two confirmed COVID-19 cases in Muhlenberg County have not been counted as part of the 124 cases in Kentucky announced by Gov. Andy Beshear at his daily briefing on Monday. The state’s COVID-19 informational website does not list any cases of coronavirus in Muhlenberg County (see map of confirmed COVID-19 cases below).

The health department did not divulge any information on the two patients.
