A fourth body has been found at an Ohio County property where three other bodies were located late Wednesday afternoon.

Kentucky State Police said the fourth body was found in a burned detached building adjacent to a residence in the 5700 block of Hwy 62 west, where three bodies, two men and a woman, were found outside the home at approximately 4:30 Wednesday afternoon. All three had been shot to death.

Kentucky State Police Post 16 spokesman Corey King told K105 that investigators do not yet know the gender of the newly discovered body, nor do police know whether the person had been shot, as King said the scene was extremely “compromised” by the fire.

The detached building, which contained an apartment, was fully engulfed in flames on Wednesday when law enforcement arrived at the scene, according to King, who told K105 late Wednesday night that police were waiting for the burned building to “cool off” before investigating the fire.

King said he believes, although none of the bodies have been positivity identified, the four decedents are probably related.

Law enforcement is not looking for a perpetrator, King stated, and there is no danger to the community.

The site of the incident, near McHenry, is a chicken farm that contracts with Tyson.

Autopsies on the four bodies have been scheduled.

Kentucky State Police detectives continue to investigate.
