Road work to take place on I-65 for rest of the week in Hardin, Bullitt, Jefferson Counties

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of lane closures this week on I-65 in Bullitt County.

Maintenance and contract crews will be performing two different types of work, with lane closures in the evening and overnight hours. Lane closures and delays are possible on I-65 in both directions as crews will install reflective pavement markers between the Hardin/Bullitt county line and the Bullitt/Jefferson county line.

Work is scheduled begin each night at 8:00 and end the next morning at 6:00. In addition, maintenance staff will replace a concrete pavement slab on I-65 south on Wednesday night.

The right and center lanes will be closed Wednesday at 6:00 between mile markers 107 and 109; the work should be completed by Thursday morning at 5.

Officials said motorists should expect delays approaching the work zones and watch for highway workers in adjacent travel lanes.
