Food Pantry to distribute additional Senior Farmer’s Market Vouchers on Friday

The Grayson County Food Alliance has Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Vouchers remaining after Tuesday’s distribution. The vouchers will be distributed Friday from 9:00 until Noon on a first come, first served basis.

The vouchers are for $28 and may only be used at the Grayson County Farmer’s Market on Mill Street.

Qualifications include being 60-years-old or older, along with the following income guidelines:

  • Household size 1 – Income cannot be over $1,860 per month
  • Household size 2 – Income cannot be over $2,504 per month
  • Household size 3 – Income cannot be over $3,149 per month
  • Household size 4 – Income cannot be over $3,793 per month

To pick up vouchers one must bring verification of age, a piece of mail showing residency and proof of income. In order to receive a voucher for another individual, one must have a proxy form signed by an eligible senior adult.

Alliance Director Debbie Childress asks those picking up vouchers to please park in front of the Food Pantry building or on the gravel at the end. There is no parking on the left hand side of the driveway.

The Grayson County Food Alliance is located at 2003 Brandenburg Road.
