Kentucky State Police has released the identity of the person killed in an earthshaking explosion in Breckinridge County that also critically injured two others.

Saturday morning at approximately 10:25, a residence at 731 Camp Green Shores Lane, just inside Breckinridge County and surrounded by Rough River Lake, exploded.

Killed in the explosion was 62-year-old Loretta Harris, of Burnside (in Pulaski Co.). She was pronounced dead at the scene by Breckinridge County Coroner Tim Bandy. Two others, 29-year-old Joshua Lucas, of McDaniels, and 56-year-old Timothy Randall, of Science Hill (also in Pulaski Co.), were airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to social media reports from residents of Grayson County, the explosion was felt as far as 30 miles from the blast. Nearby homes had windows blown out.

Kentucky State Police spokesman Scotty Sharp said the preliminary investigation revealed that the explosion was due to a possible gas leak inside the residence, with investigators saying at this time there is no reason to believe foul play was involved.

The investigation is being led by KSP Detective Steve Lowery.
