Four Grayson County residents were arrested Saturday night after authorities received a report that several people were shooting guns on Hopewell Road, and that at least one of the subjects was a felon.

Saturday night at approximately 6:30, Deputies DJ Newton, Mark Newman and Mark Johnson, along with Special Deputy Mark Stanton, responded to the 3900 block of Hopewell Road, near East Frank Road, and found four people had been shooting an array of weapons.

The four suspects were identified as 56-year-old Jeffrey Frank and 55-year-old Kip Frank, both of Caneyville and both convicted felons, 28-year-old Phillip Taylor, of Hardinsburg, and 39-year-old Misty Miller, of Leitchfield.

After making contact with the suspects, Newman said that he asked Taylor where the guns were, with the suspect replying that he “didn’t have a clue.” Deputies, though, located a handgun in Taylor’s waistband. Police additionally found a shotgun and rifle at the scene.

Both Franks were arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Taylor was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and violating an EPO (he is not allowed to possess a firearm). He was also served with a failure to appear warrant.

Miller was served with four arrest warrants.

All four suspects were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. Miller is no longer listed as an inmate.
