Hardin Co. man tries to compel man to leave home by shooting gun in his direction, striking victim in head

A Hardin County man has been jailed after shooting another man in the head.

The Radcliff Police Department arrested 36-year-old Joseph Jewell, of Radcliff, after he shot a man in the head at Jewell’s Timberwood Drive home during an early Sunday morning altercation. Jewell told police he shot the gun at the ceiling, and in the direction of the unidentified victim, in an attempt to compel the man to leave the residence, according to the News-Enterprise.

Jewell was charged with first-degree assault and felony wanton endangerment and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $20,000 cash bond. No information is available on the condition of the victim.
