A Hardin County woman was arrested Friday after she drove drunk with two children in the vehicle.
Michelle Williams, 36, of Vine Grove, was pulled over on the Patriot Parkway near Elizabethtown for driving erratically, speeding and having expired registration plates, according to The News-Enterprise. Additionally, prior to being pulled over, Williams nearly came to a complete stop in the middle of the parkway.
Police said upon making contact with Williams she displayed an odor of alcohol. She also had two small children in the car, ages eight and nine. She admitted to police she had been drinking earlier in the day, and a half empty bottle of whiskey was found in the car.
Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, DUI, careless driving, and speeding 20 mph over the limit along with several non-moving violations. Williams was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
