A Grayson County man has died after a motorcycle accident on Grayson Springs Road.

Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:30, Grayson County Deputy Rick Mehlbauer responded to the accident in the 13500 block of Grayson Springs Road, just east of the Wax Road intersection.

The initial investigation showed that 60-year-old Ralph W. Robinson, of Broad Ford, was traveling east on Grayson Springs Road when his motorcycle dropped off the shoulder of the roadway. The motorcycle then “flipped sideways,” according to Mehlbauer, and slid just over 100 feet into a barbed wire fence and fence post.

Robinson was riding with a family member who was on another motorcycle, and had nearly made it back to his residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Grayson County Coroner Larry Holeman.
