An Ohio County man with warrants for 13 charges in three counties has been arrested after trying to steal supplies from Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

Monday morning at 12:30, the Leitchfield Police Department and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the hospital’s emergency room area after receiving a report that a young male was taking medical supplies.

Upon arriving at the scene, LPD Sgt. Keith Harrell encountered 22-year-old Colten J. Sublett, of McHenry, and after detaining the suspect, Harrell located in his pockets “four alcohol prep pads, two tourniquets, approximately 10 band aids, one specimen cup, two biohazard specimen bags, and 30 non-sterile exam gloves,” according to the arrest citation.

Additionally, Sublett was unable to answer basic questions from Harrell, with the citation stating that the suspect “appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine.”

Further investigation showed that Sublett had warrants for his arrest out of Ohio County for trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of possession of marijuana.

Some of the Ohio County charges stem from a January drug raid at a home in Centertown where four suspects were arrested on multiple drug charges.

The McLean County warrant was for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Sublett was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking (under $500) and public intoxication (non-alcohol). He was also served with three warrants out of Grayson County for failure to appear, and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Assisting Harrell at the scene were LPD Officers DJ Newton, Tim Moutardier and Chance Anthony along with Grayson County Sgt. Fred Norder
