One of Grayson County’s Most Wanted captured. Suspect wanted on drug, persistent felony offender charges.

One of Grayson County’s Most Wanted has been captured.

Saturday morning at approximately 10:45, Leitchfield Police Officer Missy Skaggs was dispatched to a residence on Goff Drive on the report of a disturbance. Upon arriving, Skaggs found the source of the disturbance was 37-year-old Craig Sheffield.

Sheffield was wanted for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree promoting contraband, being a persistent felony offender, tampering with physical evidence, and public intoxication (excludes alcohol).

He was also wanted out of Breckinridge County after being indicted by a grand jury on an unknown charge.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.

LPD Officer Jeff Helvey assisted at the scene.
