
The teenager shot and killed in LaRue County Saturday has been identified.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office told media outlets that the victim of the shooting was 17-year-old Landon Knox. A 15-year-old boy shot and killed Knox at a residence on East Forrest Avenue in Hodgenville at approximately 5:00 Saturday morning.
Knox was transported to University of Louisville where he passed away.
Knox, according to his obituary, was a student at LaRue County High School and was planning to join the military after graduation.
Police charged the unidentified 15-year-old with Knox’s murder. He was lodged in the Adair County Juvenile Detention Center.
Further charges could be forthcoming, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and being led by KSP Det. Joey Beasley.
