Leitchfield couple arrested after task force, LPD, find large amount of meth, 2 small children in apartment

A Leitchfield couple has been arrested after law enforcement found a large amount of methamphetamine and two small children in their apartment.

Wednesday afternoon at approximately 2:15, the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force and Leitchfield Police Department Sgt. Keith Harrell executed a search warrant at Cave Mill Apartments on Sunrise Drive in Leitchfield.

According to the arrest citation, during a search of the residence, police located approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, “several baggies of marijuana,” cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Two small children were also in the apartment. Child Protective Services was contacted.

Police arrested the two occupants, 29-year-old Dustin L. Greer and 22-year-old Jasmine M. Decker.

Both suspects were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana, endangering the welfare of a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Greer was previously arrested in Grayson County in August 2019 and charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of synthetic drugs, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, he was placed in a pre-trial diversion program.
