A man has been indicted and arrested in connection to the death of Crystal Rogers.

Joseph L. Lawson, 32, of Willisburg, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence, according to a law enforcement document.

Lawson is being held in the Grayson County Detention Center.

He pled not guilty to the charges on Thursday in Nelson Circuit Court, according to a report by WDRB.com.

Rogers, 35, the mother of five, disappeared on July 3, 2015. Her vehicle was found on the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County with her personal belongings inside.

Her longtime boyfriend, Brooks Houck, has been named as a suspect in the case but has never been charged.

“The indictment, which does not mention Rogers by name, says the crime was committed in Nelson County on July 3 and/or July 4, 2015, when Lawson “agreed to aid one or more persons in the planning or commission of the crime or an attempt or solicitation to commit the crime when he, and/or, a co-conspirator intentionally caused the death of another,” WDRB.com reports.

Lawson was indicted by a Nelson County Grand Jury on July 24, but the indictment was sealed.
