A suspect has been arrested in a 1992 murder case.
Kentucky State Police arrested Troy Fugate and charged him with murder in the death of Michael Woolum in April 1992 in Perry County.
WYMT.com reports that, according to a criminal complaint, an investigator says a witness told troopers that Fugate “admitted to killing Woolum, described when and where it happened, and claimed Woolum’s body was placed in the trunk of a vehicle, wrapped in clear plastic, then moved and disposed of.”
The complaint warrant states that there was probable cause that Fugate intentionally killed Woolum and disposed of his body.
In addition to murder, Fugate was charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
He was lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
