Police in Ohio County made a dent (impossible to determine how large) in the methamphetamine supply in the county as a Hartford felon was busted with nearly 15 ounces of the drug along with 13 firearms.

Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright said that on Monday deputies and Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at the residence at 35 Mt. Vernon Road in Hartford. The warrant, according to Wright, was part of an “ongoing drug trafficking operation.”

“Upon serving the search warrant, deputies located Terry W. Harrison inside the residence. Harrison advised he was the sole owner and occupant of the residence,” Wright said.

During the search, law enforcement located 14.5 ounces (406 grams) of methamphetamine, marijuana, Clonazepam pills, five shotguns, two rifles, six handguns, cash in varying denominations, scales, and drug paraphernalia.

Harrison, 62, was arrested and charged with trafficking in controlled substance (methamphetamine), two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, Clonazepam), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, using restricted ammunition during the commission of a felony, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The drug charges are enhanced due to the presence of firearms.

He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
