A Clarkson man has been arrested on drug and gun charges after the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant.

On Wednesday night at approximately 11:00, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jordan Jones and Deputies Sean Fentress and Thomas Lane arrived at 325 North Patterson Street in Clarkson to serve a felony warrant “for that address,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Police were given consent to enter the home, with deputies locating a firearm, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

After the owner of the home revoked consent to search, Jones obtained a search warrant for the residence. As a result, Stumph, a felon, was arrested.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, his third such offense), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stumph was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.

The suspect, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, was convicted in Logan County in March 2022 for possession of methamphetamine, along with three misdemeanors, including possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended/revoked license and failure to maintain insurance.

He is on probation until January 1, 2027.
