An Adair County woman has been accused of killing her small child.
In late August 2023, Kentucky State Police opened a death investigation after a three-year-old child died at a residence on Jay Wheeler Road, about eight miles south of Columbia.
Earlier this month, state police presented “the results of an extensive death investigation” to an Adair County Grand Jury resulting in the child’s mother, 24-year-old Jamie C. Hendriksen, of Columbia, being indicted on a murder charge.
Hendricksen was served with the arrest warrant on Monday and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
