A teacher and coach in Laurel County has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Bradley K. Yeager, 35, of Heidrick (Knox Co.), was arrested on Sunday by the Barbourville Police Department and charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim under the age of 12) and procuring or promoting a minor by electronic means.
Yeager, listed as the boys and girls swimming coach at South Laurel High School, is accused of requesting and receiving explicit photos and videos from a woman and her juvenile child in exchange for payment, according to a report by WYTM.com.
Laurel County Public Schools said officials were notified on Sunday regarding the Barbourville Police Department’s investigation into Yeager. The school district said that Yeager, a special education teacher, has been suspended “pending the outcome of the investigation.”
Yeager was lodged in Laurel County Corrections but is no longer listed as an inmate.
Police said additional arrests are expected.
