A head-on collision in Breckinridge County was caused by a driver swatting at a “wasp or hornet.”
The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 5:00 in front of Breckinridge County High School in the 2000 block of Hwy 60.
The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office told WXBC.com that the driver of an eastbound vehicle was distracted as he was swatting at a “wasp or hornet,” causing the vehicle to cross the center line and hit a westbound vehicle head-on.
A passenger in the westbound vehicle was transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. Neither driver was injured.
In addition to the sheriff’s office, the Hardinsburg Fire and Police Departments and Harned Fire Department responded to the scene.
