The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information after a body was found between Beaver Dam and Leitchfield.
On Monday, the male was identified by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office as 25-year-old Joseph Wade, of Goshen, Indiana.
Due to “false rumors” circulating regarding the case, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement:
“Normally, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office does not post on individuals that have taken their own life out of respect for the family and the individual but due to the false rumors on social media we feel it is necessary to address the rumors. This was a completely isolated incident, there was never a threat to the community and if there had of been a threat to the community, there would have been an immediate notification addressing the threat. There was no mutilation or dismemberment of the body. Footage from trail cameras in the area helped in the determination of the investigation. We are keeping his family in our thoughts and prayers.”
