The donation box bolted to a brick wall underneath the drive-thru window at the Leitchfield Dairy Queen has been stolen.

At approximately 2:00 Thursday morning, what appears to be a young male used unknown tools to rip the full donation box off the building in full view of a surveillance camera. During the roughly three minutes it took the suspect to remove the donation box from the wall, the suspect carefully hid his face from the video camera.

A representative from Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville was scheduled to pick up the money in two weeks. It’s thought that about $200 was stolen, and the box containing the money cost $300, according to DQ management.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Leitchfield Police Department at 270-259-3850.
