A Leitchfield man has been arrested on a warrant accusing him of three felonies.

Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Caleb Owens arrested 30-year-old James Cody Armes on King Road on the strength of an arrest warrant out of Breckinridge County charging the suspect with second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and attempted kidnapping of an adult.

According to the arrest citation, the alleged crimes were committed on April 15, 2024.

Armes was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

The suspect has been arrested several times since 2017, according to online records. Most of his arrests, though, have been for non-payment of fines/court costs, failure to appear and non-moving violations. In September 2020 in Breckinridge County, he was jailed for fleeing or evading police, possession of drug paraphernalia and non-payment of child support; the most serious charges Armes has previously faced.
