A Radcliff man is in jail and being charged with multiple felonies after kicking in the door to his estranged girlfriend’s Clarkson apartment.

On Saturday morning at approximately 3:10 a.m., Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputy Zane Greer responded to an apartment complex in the Clarkson city limits.

At the scene, Greer observed that the door to the apartment was kicked in and there were blankets on the floor that someone had attempted to catch on fire. There was also damage inside the apartment including a television.

There, Greer made contact with William Vanover, 27, of Radcliff, who refused to give police a statement.

The victim told police that Vanover made threats to burn her apartment down while she was at work.

Vanover was arrested and charged with Burglary, first degree Criminal Mischief, first degree Arson, and 11 counts of first degree Wanton Endangerment.

He is currently lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Greer was assisted at the scene by Ofc. Keith Harrell of the Leitchfield Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
