A Leitchfield man jailed just over three weeks ago after police found several grams of methamphetamine in his possession has again been arrested on drug and other charges, this time in Oldham County.

Travis L. Sturgill, 27, was arrested Saturday night by Kentucky State Police and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), DUI, improper parking fire lane/blocked travel portion of highway, hitchhiking on limited access facilities, and no driver’s license in possession.

He was lodged in the Oldham County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.

On April 9, Sturgill was arrested after Grayson County Deputy Andy Vincent located over five grams of methamphetamine inside Sturgill’s vehicle following a neighbor dispute in the 1200 block of Duff Road.

In that case, Sturgill was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, alcohol intoxication in a public place (excludes alcohol), and failure to notify address change to the department of transportation.
