The Grayson County Extension Office (GCEO) is requesting help with a project to benefit the Leitchfield Animal Shelter.

The GCEO and the Extension Homemaker Association are accepting donations of fleece and batting for a Leitchfield Animal Shelter project.

“The supplies will be used to make sleeping mats for the cats at the animal shelter in a size and design that will custom fit their cages,” according to GCEO officials. “Donations of fleece and batting are being accepted for this project, as there are many beds needed for the cats.”

Donations may be dropped off at the Grayson County Extension Office at 64 Quarry Road in Leitchfield during regular business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The GCEO will have a box in the office lobby designated for supplies.

Questions should be directed to the GCEO at 270-259-3492.
