Police have released recent photos of a Beaver Dam man and the two children he is accused of abducting.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) released still photos from a surveillance camera of 35-year-old Jacob F. Clare, his son, three-year-old Noah Clare, and niece, 16-year-old Amber Clare. The photos were taken on November 11 in San Clemente, California, according to the TBI.
The focus of the manhunt for the Clares shifted from Michigan to the west coast earlier this week.
Jacob Clare has an arrest warrant out of Gallatin, Tennessee, for custodial interference after he failed to return his son, three-year-old Noah Clare, on Sunday, November 7. Jacob Clare also has his niece, 16-year-old Amber Clare. She was last seen Friday night November 5 at approximately 9:30 at her Beaver Dam residence.
In addition to the custodial interference charges, Jacob Clare is wanted for aggravated kidnapping.
In a development from earlier this week, police said Amber Clare is without her epilepsy medication, potentially placing her in mortal danger.
The vehicle associated with the Clares, a 2005 Subaru Legacy, was found in San Clemente on Tuesday afternoon. San Clemente is about 75 miles north of the Mexico border. Police have said the trio may be headed to San Diego, about 59 miles south of San Clemente.
The Subaru was filled with multiple items, including instant milk, MREs (meals ready to eat) and clothes.
Noah Clare stands three feet, five inches tall and weighs 40 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing gray pants, a camo shirt and black jacket along with black shoes.
Amber Clare stands five feet, seven inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has green eyes and dirty blonde hair.
Jacob Clare is six feet, six inches tall with a thin build. He has dark hair and hazel eyes and three tattoos: On his left arm he has a tribal sleeve; on his right forearm is “Clare,” with a wraparound on his right arm muscle, police said.
