A Leitchfield man convicted of a sex crime in Jefferson County has been arrested after a probation and parole visit resulted in the confiscation of methamphetamine and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Last week, two probation and parole officers requested assistance from Grayson County Deputy Erik Franklin at a residence in the 3700 block of Bloomington Road after the officers arrived at the location to conduct a home visit on 63-year-old Damon Vincent.

Upon entering the residence, officers observed multiple beer cans and a ceramic plate containing what appeared to be methamphetamine residue in plain view, according to the arrest citation.

The officers then asked Vincent “what else was there that shouldn’t be,” with Vincent producing a baggie of methamphetamine from under a table. Digital scales were also discovered in the living room, along with other drug paraphernalia.

Franklin arrested Vincent and charged him with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center but has since been released.

Vincent is on probation after being convicted in Jefferson County for third-degree sexual abuse, and for failure to comply with the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry in Grayson County in 2019, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections.

He is on probation until December 2024.
