A Hardin County woman has been arrested after stabbing her longtime boyfriend.

Kentucky State Police arrested 46-year-old Angie L. Bohannon, of Elizabethtown, Friday morning and charged her with second-degree assault (domestic violence).

Bohannon told police her boyfriend was intoxicated and tearing up a residence near Colesburg when Bohannon pushed him onto a bed, the arrest citation says, according to The News-Enterprise. She said the man then grabbed her hair when Bohannon grabbed him by his hair and drug him into the kitchen where she stabbed him several times in the face and chest.

Bohannon also told police that “she had intentions to kill him for hurting her, the newspaper reports.

She was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond. She faces up to 10 in prison if convicted of the charge.
