Traffic stop leads to drug charges for Ohio Co. man

An Ohio County man has been arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop.

Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright said that deputies conducted a traffic stop early Friday morning where police made contact with the driver, 68-year-old Carl S. Calloway, of Hartford.

During the investigation, deputies deployed a K-9 unit which indicated that narcotics were inside the vehicle. During a search, deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Calloway was arrested and charged with trafficking in and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia along with several non-moving violations.

The suspect was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
