An Ohio County man with warrants has been arrested with methamphetamine and pills during a traffic stop.

On Sunday morning at approximately 1:00, an Ohio County deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 69 south in Hartford on a vehicle with only one working taillight, according to Sheriff Adam Wright.

During the stop, the deputy was notified by dispatch that a passenger in the vehicle, 38-year-old Ricky Filback, of Hartford, had active warrants out of Ohio County.

Filback was placed in custody, as the deputy observed two baggies sitting in plain view in the passenger seat. One of the baggies, police said, appeared to contain methamphetamine.

During a search of Filback, the deputy found methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Filback was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center where he was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, drug unspecified) — his third methamphetamine possession arrest — prescription controlled substance not in its proper container, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with two warrants.

He is no longer listed as an inmate.

The Hartford Police Department assisted at the scene.
