At about 10:30 Monday morning, a bomb threat was received against Grayson County High School.
Responding to the school were the Leitchfield Police Department, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Leitchfield Fire Department, Grayson County Emergency Management, and Kentucky State Police.
Leitchifield Police Chief Bryan Langdon told K105 at 12:30 that Kentucky State Police bomb sniffing dogs were in the school searching for threats.
The students were evacuated from the buildings immediately after the threat was received. Parents who wish to pick up their children are asked to go to Lawler Elementary School. Leitchfield Police Chief Bryan Langdon said they are taking the bomb threat seriously, and are doing everything in their power to ensure the safety of the students and teachers.
Leitchfield Police Officers are currently guarding all entrances to the school.
