(Leitchfield, KY) – The Twin Lakes Fiddle Festival Pageant was held on Friday, the weekend preceding the National Twin Lakes Fiddler Festival, which will kick-off Saturday morning on the Leitchfield Public Square at 9:00 a.m. The winners crowned this year will help award winners of the music festival throughout the day. Events planned for the day include: music contests, The Grascals performing at 8:00 p.m., fireworks at 9:00 p.m., Miss Kentucky & Jimmy Mattingly will make guest appearances, and shopping and food vendors will be setup around the public square. This is a free event, and you are asked to bring a chair, and enjoy the day.
The pageant is coordinated each year by Joyce Mudd and Brad Mudd. Event coordinators said the pageant draws girls from several counties, and is open to all girls in the Commonwealth. The winners will be present at the National Twin Lakes Fiddler Festival, which is why the pageant is held the weekend preceding the music festival.
